Use of Resources
We would recommend that all paper supplied by the customer was obtained from sustainable managed forests (e.g. paper from forests that are managed in accordance with FSC - Forest Stewardship Council, an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world's forests certification guidelines). This we can advise on.

We would ask that the print supplier monitors the environmental impact of products used and to record resource efficiency (e.g. energy) on a regular basis.

Waste Management
We will also recommend that the following processes are in place to minimise chemical waste:

• CTP (Computer to Plate)
• Chemicals used to develop plates are biodegradable
• Solvents used for cleaning and inks for printing are thoroughly tested and meet guidelines for solvent use or
• Solvents used go through solvent recovery station and are re-used or waste fount solutions, solvents and glues are segregated and kept in controlled environment for collection by an authorised waste disposal company
• Copper used for cylinders (gravure printing) is completely recycled.

All waste types to be managed in one of the following ways:

• All paper and packaging to be recycled by a specialist organisation
• Paper waste from the manufacturing process is compressed and sold to paper mills

At least 90% of all materials used in manufacturing process are either recyclable or biodegradable.
